Just home from visiting my G'rents after work, and I'm pleased to say that my weekend-long MacBook back-up/HD upgrade replacement/Time Machine reinstall is at last finished.
My stock 120GB HD has been full for some time now to the point where I couldn't even open my Windows/Parallels partition anymore cos there was that little space left. Something had to be done.
Last week I threw caution (and overdraft) to the wind and splashed out on a new 500GB Western Digital HD, and a 1TB Western Digital My Book World networked HD from Amazon to get the job done. I had a mooch around the web and found this guide to doing the swap over easily, and painlessly, and it worked!
God help my iTunes - next stop, download city!
